About Cellvue

Cellvue is an Australian online store built around one question: why is it so hard to stay comfortable through a hot summer night, and why does most bedding make it worse?

How Cellvue started

Cellvue began with a summer that would not let go. A stretch of nights above 30 degrees, a fan pushing warm air around a bedroom, and the same routine every few hours: turn the pillow over, push the doona off, lie on the cool side of the mattress until it stopped being the cool side.

What followed was the part most people know. A cooling pillow that felt cool in the shop and warm by midnight. A bamboo blanket that turned out to be mostly polyester. A pillowcase advertised as breathable that trapped more heat than the cotton one it replaced. The products were easy to buy and disappointing to sleep on, and the reason was almost always the same: the marketing described a feeling, not a material.

So we started reading the boring parts instead. Fibre content. Weave and knit structure. Gram weight. Moisture-wicking behaviour. Whether a cooling claim came from a coating that washes off or from the structure of the fabric itself. The more we compared, the clearer it got that a small number of products genuinely handle heat well, and that they are hard to find because they sit next to hundreds that only say they do.

Cellvue exists to be the shortlist. We sell a deliberately narrow range for warm-climate living: bedding and pillows for sleeping through the heat, and everyday footwear built on the same principle of light materials and breathability. Our shoes and slides came later, from the same frustration in a different form. Comfort that works at 2 AM and comfort that works at 2 PM turn out to be the same engineering problem.

Our mission

Our mission is to make warm-weather comfort simple to buy in Australia: a small, honest range of cooling bedding, supportive pillows and lightweight footwear, described accurately enough that you can decide before you buy instead of finding out after.

In practice that means three commitments:

  • Describe products as they are. We list materials, measurements and variants as accurately as the information available to us allows, and we correct anything that turns out to be wrong rather than leaving it to sell for us.
  • Keep the range small. We would rather carry a handful of products we can stand behind than a catalogue nobody has looked at closely.
  • Make the boring parts painless. Free standard shipping across Australia, clear delivery estimates, a 30 day change-of-mind window and a person who answers the phone.

Our vision

Australian homes deal with heat for a large part of the year, and most sleep and comfort products sold here are designed for milder climates and simply relabelled. Our vision is a store that is organised the other way around: warm-climate first, with a range that grows only when a product genuinely earns its place.

Over time we want Cellvue to be the place Australians check first for hot-weather comfort, not because we shout the loudest, but because the description on the page matches the product that arrives, every time.

What we stand for

  • Accuracy over enthusiasm. If we cannot support a claim, we do not make it.
  • Fewer, better products. A short range we understand beats a long one we do not.
  • Straight answers. If a product is not right for you, we would rather tell you before you order than process a return afterwards.
  • Australian consumer rights are the floor, not the ceiling. Our policies never limit the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

What we sell

Our range covers two sides of the same idea: resting well and moving comfortably.

  • Cooling bedding. Lightweight, breathable blankets and cooling pillowcases for warm nights, in sizes for single beds through to king.
  • Pillows. Memory foam pillows for side, back and stomach sleepers, contour and wedge shapes for support, and U-shaped pillows for travel and relaxation.
  • Footwear. Slip-on shoes, EVA slides and sandals built around light materials and cushioned footbeds, for the months when anything heavier is unbearable.

What connects them is one requirement: products that stay comfortable through daily use in a warm climate, without a lot of fuss.

How we choose what to sell

Every product we list goes through the same basic check before it goes on the site. We look at what it is actually made of, how it is constructed, what it measures, and whether the way it is normally marketed matches any of that. We compare it against what is already in our range, and if it does not do something better or different, we leave it out.

We also read our own product pages against the products themselves. Where a supplier description and the physical item disagree, the item wins and the page gets rewritten.

How we work

Cellvue is an online-only retailer. There are no physical stores, which keeps the range focused and the prices consistent, and it means the whole business runs on getting orders out accurately and answering questions quickly.

Fulfilment warehouse with shelving, plain cardboard shipping boxes and a packing bench

Orders for Australian customers are picked and dispatched by our fulfilment partner from a warehouse in New South Wales. Standard shipping is free on every order within Australia, with a handling time of one to two business days and an estimated delivery time of seven to ten business days in total. Every order can be followed on our order tracking page.

Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 30 days on unused products in their original condition, with return postage paid by the customer. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items are a different matter entirely and are handled under the Australian Consumer Law. The details are in our Return Policy and Shipping Policy.

Who we are

Cellvue is operated by ECOMVA LTD (Company Number 17080139), registered in England and Wales, selling to customers in Australia. Full company and contact details are set out in our Legal Notice and Contact Information.

We are a small team, which is the reason for the narrow range and also the reason your email is read by someone who knows the products rather than a queue.

Talk to us

Questions about a product, an order or a return are answered by our customer service team. If you are unsure which pillow height or which size to choose, ask us first. That conversation costs us a few minutes and saves you a return.
